Ok, this is a big one. We’re about to crown the winner of the Product Marketing Team of the Year for 2022.
In the State of Product Marketing Report 2022, we asked PMMs which skills they considered to be essential, and strong communication (82.2%) and collaboration (77.9%) were identified as being the most important amongst the respondents in the survey.
Without teamwork and collaboration, a team dynamic falls apart, and this category celebrates the companies that are continuing to raise the bar when it comes to team dynamics.
Due to the hot competition in this category, we wanted to highlight a few runners-up as well.
So without further ado, in third place, we’d like to give a huge congratulations to the team at Square!
In second place, we’re delighted to recognize the Spotify product marketing team.
And taking the top spot?
The Confluence Cloud product marketing team at Atlassian has seen a stellar year of growth. Beginning the year as a team of 5 this small but mighty team grew to 15 people and have had some major achievements:
- Very significant year-over-year growth in revenue, monthly active users and new customer acquisition
- Resulting in a 55% increase in cloud revenue growth in Q4 vs. the year prior and reaching over 200,000 customers
- GTM for over 34 feature releases
- Pioneered "Customer Love" months, which educate and celebrate our active customer base, and have resulted in doubled conversion rates for edition upgrades, and community & social engagement increased by 50% and 30% respectively
Laurel Hodge, the Head of Marketing at Confluence Cloud had this to say about her team:
“The team exemplifies true teamwork - a diverse set of individuals have come together to scale quickly and effectively to meet increased demand. We have differing opinions and styles but have made time to understand each other and enjoy spending time with each other, even though we are spread out all across the world.
