  • The state with the highest average base salary was Washington ($181,200). California remains the state with the highest median salary at $175,000.
  • The region with the highest average salary was the Southwest, with an average base salary of $161,705, and a median salary of $170,000.
  • We observed a sharp decline in the median gender pay gap, down from 10.5% in 2022 to just 0.36% in 2023.
  • Those who considered themselves a minority (in any capacity) were found to be earning $1,506 more, on average, than those who didn’t.
  • B2B PMMs still earn more than B2C PMMs ($146,888 > $120,350).
  • Those who are product marketing certified were earning $3,113 more in their base salary average than those who aren’t certified.
